Hello Towboat Golf Classic participants,

 

There are just days left until we are all together at Newcastle Golf Course. Thank you very much for participating in this tournament and swinging in support of Maritime High School and the Boys and Girls Club of Southwest Oregon.

 

UPON ARRIVAL

Plan to eat breakfast prior to the tournament, and come to the course in golf attire (collared shirts, no jeans). Arrive at Newcastle between 9-10:30am. Drive up to the Clubhouse, follow signs for Bag Valet, provide your name and course staff will take your clubs to your cart. Parking is complimentary and available near the clubhouse.
 
During this time, you will:

 

  • Check-in at the Registration table with your last name
  • Receive your starting hole and bid # to be used to purchase items throughout the day; an invoice will be emailed to the following week with a link to pay online
  • Be able to purchase the Golfer’s Package for $100 per person, which includes access to:
    • Most Accurate Drive Contest
    • Longest Drive Contest
    • Closest to the Pin Contest
    • Putting Contest
    • 1 Mulligan
    • Blackjack Mulligan
    • Important: BEFORE you arrive please coordinate with your team captain on if your foursome is purchasing this individually or collectively as a group
  • Receive cool Oakley giveaways  
  • Grab a complimentary lunch burrito, courtesy of our friends at Blue Water Taco, before you head to your cart.  
  • Warm-up on the Driving Range (complimentary)
  • Participate in the Putting Contest located at the practice green (if you purchased the Golfer’s Package), Towboat Bingo ($25 per square or $50 for three squares), or bid on two Silent Auction items. 

 

Be in your golf cart at 10:45am; shotgun starts promptly at 11am.

 

ON COURSE EXPERIENCE

Since the course has so many incredible views, you’ll be playing on both courses - 9 holes on China Creek and 9 holes on Coal Creek. Here’s what to expect on course:

 

  • Tournament rules:
    • Scramble
    • No Minimum Drives
    • 2 Putt Maximum
    • Bogey is your friend
  • 3 contests (if you purchased the Golfer’s Package during registration)
  • 2 complimentary snack/beverage holes (one on the front and one on the back)
  • Foursome photo at the turn
  • Complimentary beverages from the Beverage Carts
  • Additional snacks are available on the Beverage carts or at the turn (at your discretion)
  • Tiger Woods Drive option: for an additional donation you can:
    • Move up to 100 yards out from pin ($25 donation each)
    • Buy an eagle ($50 donation each)
    • Buy a Hole-in-One ($100 each; but you have to make a 5’ putt from designated spot on green, if not, you get an eagle)

 

DINNER PROGRAM

Following the tournament, please join us for dinner and a program in the Ballroom from 4:00 – 7:00pm.  

 

 

Towboat Bingo and the Silent Auction will be available until the program begins. The dinner buffet opens at 4:30pm, with the program beginning at 5:30pm. There will be an opportunity to make a donation to Maritime High School during this time. Prizes will be distributed toward the end of the program. Everything will conclude by 7pm.
